I have for sale a custom built .280ai….scope can go with it or rifle can sell alone. Specs are:
Bartlein 24" 3B contour, 1/8.7 twist, skip flutes
-Area 419 Hellfire brake
-APR action like butter
-Jewell trigger, set at 1.5lbs, adjustable
-AG Composites stock
-BDL bottom metal
-All metal cerakoted battleship gray
-Rifle alone is approx 8.5lbs and is balanced perfectly.
-Scope is Schmidt & Bender Exos 3-21x50, with illuminated center dot w/ simple duplex crosshairs. Glass is as clear and bright as they come and scope is built beyond durable. Has Tenebraex fitted covers.
-Rifle was built by Jay Cutright in Marshall, Illinois. Jay is a master builder who builds a lighter volume of rifles for a select clientele. I was introduced to him by a friend who shot on Team USA F-class. He built several rifles for him and other members of the team. He has since built another rifle for me and his work is as good as it gets.
- I don't "need" to sell the rifle but I've concluded that I can only use so many rifles in the same caliber class. Plus I've really gotten into old revolvers and have my eye on a couple.
-Rifle has been in the field hunting 2 times….it is 2 for 2 on whitetail does.
- Total round count between 60-70. I don't reload and did my best to find an accurate hunting load. Tried a couple different options from Copper Creek and settled on 168gr Berger VLDs. Shoots them at 2930fps with 57gr of H4350, and has always shot .5" or less. I feel sure that someone could go through the load Dev process and find a better option.
- Will include approx 65 of the Cooper Creek loaded rounds plus some spent Nosler brass if wanted.
***Price for rifle (w/ ammo) and scope: $5550.00…..I'll pay the shipping to your FFL.
***Price for rifle only (w/ammo): $3350….also shipped to you.
-I'll point out that the scope alone(new) is north of $3000 and the covers were $125….and great high end glass doesn't wear out.
