coyote vs. 300g SMK

Shot this male coyote this morning at 105 yards on the run with my 338 EDGE w/300g SMK. DRT!! 300g SMK showed good expansion. Saw another one and ranged him at 460, but he took off running and never did stop.

Judging by the picture you may consider a larger caliber for coyotes. That appears to be marginally adequate.

For sure some ood shooting, its amazing how small those things can seem when they're on the move, and man did that open him up. My coyote buyer here just shakes his head and points me to the burn pile when I bring him dogs like that.
