Afternoon all,
Just want to give Cooper a nod on these outstanding rifles.
I have 4) 300 Win, 7mm Rem Mag, 270 Win and 257 Weatherby.
All shoot half inch or better with factory loads.
I reload, but I'm usually too busy to find time to "roll my own".
They are a dream to shoot, carry etc.
My 300 Win Mag weighs 7 pounds with everything except ammo.
All wear Leupold scopes (4.5-14's and a 3-18).
Only con is the magazine "wiggle" when seated. Otherwise just great rifles.
Do you have any experience with them like me?

I have 3. Phoenix in 6.5L, Custom Classic in .243 and Jackson Game in .25-06. Also used to have a Jackson Squirrel rifle. Beautiful and accurate to be sure but have had to address some minor issues with them (inconsistent trigger pull, weak extraction, etc) but still keepers. Congrats on the Backcountry. They are very nice!

I have a Cooper 520 going on 10 years. It's by far, my favorite rifle!!! It's a 6.5x284 and has Just over 1000 rounds down the tube. It's taken dozens of game animals, and varmints to 1200 yards. 200 yard groups shown from 3 weeks ago(Left), and, in 2010(when new). I prefer my rifles with some weight for my typical hunting, but that Back Country looks pretty nice. Congratulations!

Just picked up a Cooper timberline in 300 win. Haven't had time to work up a load but here is what it does with factory 165 gr Barnes ttsx.

Have thought about the backcountrys, but haven't gotten one yet. I have a 52 Excalibur in 300 win and a 54 Jackson Excalibur in 7mm-08 (currently in the shop getting threaded for a suppressor). Sold a 54 Phoenix in .260 rem a couple of years ago because it was a bench gun and I am a hunter....my experience with the 3 Coopers I have shot is that they are more accurate rifles than I am a shooter. Love Coopers.

You cannot go wrong with any rifle Cooper makes. Their customer service is just as outstanding as their rifles.
My Varmint Extreme is one seriously sexy accurate rifle.

I have a Timberline Model 52 chambered in 270 Win. Shot a group 3 weeks ago that measured 0.24 center to center.
Cooper is great to work with and I love that rifle. I plan on getting another one in 243 AI for coyotes.
