converting rem 700 300 win mag to 7mm ultra mag

i have a chance to purchase a rem 700 in 300 win mag for cheap. and was wanting to use the aics 338 lapua chassis and convert it to 7mm ultra mag or a wildcat based off that. will this action work and what would i have have to do to make it fuction correctly. 338 chassis was chosen for length of magazine. thanksgun)

I have only messed with that stock a little but if the action screw spacing is the same it should fit pretty easily. Might need the magwell opened some.

i was really concidering the 7mm tejas (7mm ultra mag with 50 degree shoulders) brad stair's rifle has 2500 rounds down the tube and still shooting great. its about 300 fps faster than the ultra mag. with that speed i'll shoot the 200 gr wildcat.gun)
