Just got back from a hunt in western Montana for Elk/Deer. I was pumped for a muley was was greatly disapointed (elk also). I saw several great whitetails 150-180" just no shot and a good moose (no tag). I have decided to plan a muley hunt and I've settled on Colorado. If anyone has a good outfitter or some good units for a DIY hunt any help would be apperciated. I am not a fancy guy so please no 5 star lodges. Just looking for place where if you put in time and hunt not sit in the cabin you find a respectable animal. I got screwed in Montana. $3800 and we hunted public land. Every turn we made we ran into hunters. I plan on doing a lot more homework this time.
