clear ridge scopes vs vortex viper hs lr

would like to know which is better for the money or a comparison of the two. looking to use these for shooting out to 1000 yards when I get good enough and my budget is $550

I can't compare because I have not used the Vortex scope. Assuming you're talking about the Clearridge Ultra XP5. Ultra XP5 4.5-22.5x50, Mil Dot I have been using this scope the last 2 years and have killed 2 elk with it. Having 4.5 on the low end and 22.5 on the high end is a great luxury. The scope has performed well so far. The optics are clear and dialing up for elevation is accurate and consistent.

You can't go wrong with Vortex. Great scopes for the money. Love my Viper HS.
