I searched this site, but couldn't find what I'm looking for. I have a chronograph, and I'm trying to figure out what to put it on when I'm shooting prone. I don't want to go to the range, and hold people up while I'm 12 feet on the range fussing with it.

Flat level ground preferably on top of a Tarp or something else to cut down on flying debris.

You also need to have a shooting mat or tarp extending about six feet in front of your muzzle for the same reason.

Thanks, I didn't know if there was some type tripod that was super low to the ground. I have some 2'x2' foam mats that in interlock. I can stack a few up if I need more elevation.

Depending on the height of your rest.... a couple of 2x6's usually work for me unless shooting from a burm where a tripod will do the job
