Chrono questions

I just bought a Pro Chrono. It don't have a printer and it doesn't capture every shot. How far away from the muzzle do you place it? BOTW says to place it 15 ft from the muzzle. I am setting up a turret for my Huskemah scope. If I get software for a PDA is this a variable? I am just working up my loads for 185 bergers in my 300 RUM. The load I might settle on is 96 grains of H1000 seated at the max length of my mag box (approx} 4.02 w/ comporator.
At 3600 ft 77 degrees I am getting 3192 ave w/ an ES of 16.
This is giving me a group of around .6 inches at 100 yds. Brad

I don't have a Pro Chrono (anymore) but 15 ft is a good place to start. Muzzle blast will cause failure to read and bad readings.
