Thanks for all the info and advice. I spoke with a gentleman on Monday and expressed my concerns and frustration. I made it clear I wasn’t sending the rifle back for repair. I would be sending it back for a refund. He said no problem at all and they will do that. That their number one goal is “to have a happy customer, whether or not we have their rifle or not.” He needed me to call back on Wednesday to get things worked out with their “supervisor.” Also, I should not have to take this rifle to another gun smith to get it fixed correctly. I didn’t pay to have 2 inoperable rifles sent to me, just to spend another few hundred dollars to get them fixed. Also, I live a 140 miles away from the place I’ve purchased the 28 and 300 from. I’ve had to make a total of four round trips back and forth. I would need to make another one if I had to send this back and wait for a return. I Have a lot of wasted money into getting things straightened out. I’m positive I’ll be getting a full refund from them. One way or another. It’s OK for me to be out money, but it’s not OK for them to be out money on a rifle that’s been registered to somebody else that they can’t sell? It’s only the action. The rest of the rifle can be put back together for somebody else. I understand both sides, and what you’re saying. But this is going back for sure and I’m out. And maybe this whole thing has been blowen out of proportion and it’s gonna be as simple as sending them a gun, and they send me a check.
