I had an issue with my CA Carbon Classic in 338 Lapua. It would shoot factory ammo without an issue, but any reloaded ammo I got a stuck case (starting loads or less from the load manuals, no extractor marks, no flattened primers). I couldn't figure out what was going on. Tried different FL dies, it didn't matter. Called CA and they basically told me if it shot factory ammo fine to not even bother sending it back to them. I took it to a local gunsmith (who happens to be a legend and one of the best in the country). He took one look through his bore scope and found that the chamber was rough in a few spots and had a couple of burs. He said he figured this was my issue. He checked my FL die to see if it was sizing properly, and said it was doing just fine. He disassembled the rifle and polished up the chamber and throat. I'm glad to report it solved my issue. I think the QC at CA is the problem. Too bad, because my rifle is nice and very accurate. I won't buy another one due to the issues I had.
