found a good way to mount a karsten or similar cheak piece without drilling holes,,,idustrial velcro works sweet,easy to take off for barrel cleaning and holds steady.

that looks like a good idea,,but looks too humped up for me,,try not to get my scope mounted that high,,mine works the bst just about all the way down.

Not sure what brand you used of Industrial velcro, But I had some come off fiberglass in cold weather. If it does stick during cold weather I'd love to know brand. I have a project I need something that sticks in cold.

got it from home depot,,important part is to clean the surface well,,,ill check and see what brand it is.how cold??

15-32 degrees , I'd guess. I cleaned area w/acetone but still peeled off.

wow,,thats cold,,i used to crab fish in the bearing sea,,,cold like that,,you could walk out on the deck with a cup of water and throw it in the air and it would freeze instantly,,crazy cold.

Funny, where I need it work is on my boat in Chesapeake bay in dec and jan. while waterfowl hunting. I've tried every possible glue and sticky velcro i've seen but when its cold it peels right off the fiberglass on boat.

Have never seen this before. Do you have any idea on cost or comments to it's usability in the field?

Funny, where I need it work is on my boat in Chesapeake bay in dec and jan. while waterfowl hunting. I've tried every possible glue and sticky velcro i've seen but when its cold it peels right off the fiberglass on boat.

if you want it to never come off,,,theres a 2 part opoxy glue called G5,,,this stuff is incredible,,,i put a carbon fiber tube over a sporter barrel,and filled the void with this stuff,,a couple weeks later i thought id remove it with my lathe,,,this stuff was hard as a rock,,and ive used it to glue alot of odds ends,,,if you get the five minute set up stuff,,that velcro wont come off untill h!@# freezes over,good luck
