does anyone know of a cell cam I can take a pic whenever I want to with the use of an app and see photo very quickly after the shot? I bought one and the salesman swore up and down I can do it with the one I bought, low and behold I finally had a chance to play with it a little and no it does not. Looking for other ideas. Thanks

The guy at the store said I could use the app to take a pic whenever I want to. Now after reading the instructions it is only motion activated. I doubt will pick up a bullet wizzing by. I'm looking for one I can snap a pic from the app when I want and see the pic within a few moments

Buy a GoPro Hero 7. We use 2 of them while we shoot. We put one on the shooting line and one on the target. She shot at 1k in Wyoming and videoed every hit. You can slow the frames down and watch the bullet enter the frame and go frame by frame until it splats on the steel.
Do you have to have 2 of them? Is there an app to see the video? If not where do you view it? Thanks for the response

Yes. We have 2 of them. One sits either on a scope or on a tripod on the firing line. This way you can watch the shooter and critique shooting posture. The other is on a tripod next to the target. The app on your phone allows you to watch the Gopro picture through a WiFi signal the camera gives off. I will tell you at 1k you cannot watch in real time. The phone cannot pick up the WiFi signal that far away
I have an old iPhone that I set up at the target. Start the record mode and go shoot. I'll set it on the ground a few feet in front and prop it up against something. If your shooting steel that might not be a good idea though.
So how are you broadcasting back to where your shooting? I'm not looking to record bullets hitting steel, I'm looking for where am I hitting at 1050 yards without having to take a wheeler or walk between every couple shots.

Look at the cameras on the Jager pro hog trapping site. They have the features you want. They have cameras that that work on the Verizon and Att&t network. There's an app that controls the cameras and with a click of a button, you can make the camera take a picture and text it to you within seconds. Fair warning, they're spendy, on the order of $800. I couldn't justify that cost as only a target camera, but you may have other uses for it as well. I use them to trap hogs.
In that case I suppose it wouldn't work. I have used it to record ladder test and then review and mark my shots on the target. If you have two active phones you could video chat and see it live that way. Maybe look into the type of live video transmitting cameras that drones use?

If you want to make the iPhone work, you could FaceTime call your phone with the target phone and watch from there. Then it doesn't matter how far your target is as long as you have signal.
