CCI #34 primers for 7mm stw ?????

I'm sure I can load 308 with the cci#34 primer and I've been reading a lot of guys use them to load 300 WM , if that's the case why can't I use them in the stw?
Wikipedia says it is a primer with a magnum mix…

they are basically the CCI 250 with a harder cup. I have been using them in place of 250s since the 250s disappeared with no difference on paper or the chrony.

This is good info for me since I've been able to acquire both 34's and 41's. I'll try and compare both and give results in another thread. I'll list powders, cartridges, speed and all pertinent info. I'll try cci 200's, 250's and 34's in magnum cartridges (264wm, 300wm and 338lm).

I was just getting to the point of trying this one myself. I have never loaded "magnum" rifle calibers much, so my fledgling foray into loading for 300WM is missing magnum primers. I have a brick of 34's though, so there is my plan! Thanks!

My CCI 34 primers run 30-40fps slower than WLR. Little less inconsistent ES wise than WLR. They work though.
My 215M run same as WLR in velocity and so far more consistent ES than WLR. With all that said and the market with primers, I am running 215M in everything. KISS
