Hello,
I am just starting to reload and practicing on .38 special cases. These were once fired cases I had and I tumbled them clean. I am using new Hornady dies. I have resized/deprimed about 200 shells and was surprised to see how much tarnish was pushed down the case, not every one but a few and it seemed mostly the first 50 cases. I also noticed that the cases had quite a few scratches down the length of each shell? All cases had uniform scratches. Is this normal?
Thanks
