I have my old Bushnell Elite 1500.
I range animals to 750 pretty easily
I hit my 10" steel target at 1000
I hit my 18" steel target at 1252
I hit a building at 1332 and got 1401 once.
I havnt pushed the limits of it a whole lot, but if you want to get ranges like that, you wI'll put it on a tripod.
It is decent, and for the price, it's all most guys will ever need anyways.
