Bushnell Elite 10x40 mildot

I recently acquired a 10 power mildot reticle scope from my dad. What would this scope be geared toward? Hunting? Target?

10x (fixed magnification) mildot has historically been a military pick if I am not mistaken. I would use it for target shooting.

That's kind of what I was thinking too. Being that it is a fixed 10 power.

It's a good, simple scope at a fair price.

Would work fine for varmints or target work.

I have fixex 10X, Super Snipers, on a few of my hunting rifles. The 30mm tube gives a big enough field of view it is easy to hunt with. Most of my shots have been over 200 yards but I did shoot an ellk at around 60 that jumped up and was running through the trees. I wouldn't count out the 10X for hunting; depending on how you hunt. It works great if you glass hill sides.
