Building a new 7mm question

I have a chance to buy a new unfired 7mm-08 Remington prefit. However I'm a 280 ack guy. I know it can be rechambered but is that a good idea also has anyone built a 7-08 off a long action for 160 gr + plus pills with success or had feed issues. Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with rechambering that barrel. I am currently having a 7mm-08 barrel bored out to 7mm saum. Both cartridges are in a short action though. Only the mag needs changing.
