Bottom Metal for New 7mm Build - Recommendations Please

Looking for recommendations on preferred bottom metal for a new 7mm Rem Mag. build. I am wanting to shoot the Bergers with the high BC say maybe the 185 grain. Wondering what length of bottom metal to use and preferred manufacture to shoot the longer bullets. Many thanks. Bombcity.

A BDL set up with wyatts guts or the unknown munitions dbm will give you the most length and still feed appropriately. You honestly would probably get by fine with a hawkins htr dbm as well with that set up pending your reamer freebore.

Mine works fine with standard LA AICS mags if that's something you're considering.

Do you want a detachable box mag or BDL floorplate style? If you want to seat them way out there then ZReeds recommendations are good otherwise WeiserBucks will work fine for most bullets in the 7RM.

Don't know yet. Looking for super lightweight. Price is not a concern up to say maybe $1,500 or so. I'm all ears. Any suggestions would be great. 7mm Rem Mag. Bartlein #3 barrel 1:8 twist, probably cut it to 22" or so and shoot it suppressed. Would like to put a McMillan stock on it so that might be an issue but I know McMillan has lots of options. Open to all suggestions.

What are you looking for a weight on the finished gun? (sans scope, mounts, sling, rounds)

To what ranges will you be taking game with this rig on a yearly basis and how far do you practice to on a consistent basis?

If you're wanting any close to light weight, you'll want to flute that bartlein #3. They're pretty beefy.

I regularly shoot out to 1,400 yards but don't intend to shoot game that far. Maybe 800 yards of so for game. I already have a Leupold VX-6HD 4 X 24 TMOA scope, already have a Bartlein 1:8 twist barrel. Will purchase a NEAR ring set up for a 34mm scope from Richard Near after I figure out the action, already have a Dead Air Suppressor. Need advice on bottom metal, action and stock. I like the McMillan Gamewarden series stocks but am open to suggestions. Don't really have an overall weight in mind, just as light as we can go with those current components in mind. That's all I know for now. Thanks Guys!!!

If you're not worried about price then I'd do Bat Vesper LA with Unknown munitions DBM and a McMillan Nimrod stock.
