I was looking at ordering a complete bolt carrier group and I saw the NiB coated and then I saw one that's Nitride. There weren't any reviews for the nitride so I thought I would ask if anyone has used one of these and what did you think about it?

Its a surface treatment that helps resist wear. Pretty common in the ar market these days. My bcg is melonited witch is a type of nitride surface treatment. I could just as well do without it. I dont shoot that gun enough to notice/need it.

Its probably of greater value when applied to barrels. Still not bad to have.

I have phosphate, Failzero nib, black nitride, and DPMS hard chrome BCG's

Nothing wrong with the mil spec phosphate bcg if you really want premium go hard chrome

Had a palmetto Nib ( coating flaked off after 200 rounds) full refund good company

Suggest the Balanced Bolt Carrier group from Sharps

In my MK 12 I use a WMD NB M16 carrier with a Sharps Bolt

I have done modification to the sharps bolt by replacing the 3 gas rings with a McFarland One piece gas ring.
I installed a 5 Coil extractor spring with black insert buffer.
I replaced the Firing Pin with a Titaminum Firing Pin
I replaced the Gas Key and Cam Pin with a POF Roller Cam Kit.

This is one smooth running carrier.........group :)
