Is it legal to keep a bobcat in Indiana?
With the correct permits that i had to deal with yes. 
I hear they can make strange noices at night at least at times. I won't have one myself if there were children in the house. But that's just me.
Bobcats are amazing critters. They can travel through dried leaves on the forest floor without making a sound.

I knew a person in Wichita, KS that had 1 as a pet that played with his dogs, horses and other animals he had. All was fine until other people's animals came on his property. After it died he had it stuffed for display in his office.

My uncle had one when I was a kid. Fun to play with for sure. He had to put a pad lock on the refrigerator, that cat learned to paw it open, and they came home to find all the hamburger and bologna gone!
