Seems at a couple big-box stores I've been to in the last couple weeks are now completely opposite of usual. The typical cartridges are sold out and the rarer ones are on the shelf. No 30/06s' plenty of 26 Noslers. No .270 Winchesters', several boxes of .280 AI. A few boxes of .378 and .30/.378 Weatherby - no 30-30s'. Strange times indeed?

Something like 3 million new gun owners over the past year. 2 boxes of shells each can be significant. Plus regular gun owners stocking up, and don't forget reduced manufacturing from covid-19...

Skeet, been like this for months. Your if boxes keep selling firearms and keep quiet about the shortage of loaded ammo and components.

All Houston area box stores are empty and have reduced the amount of dedicated ammo shelving. You'll find the odd assortment of 28 GA shotgun but not much else.

Our local chain store is academy and every one has a line formed at least 1 hour prior to opening on delivery day. Most are there every delivery day.

This is what everyone worries about, total wipe-out of reloading components for an extended time. Its all supply and demand in this economy...........it won't last forever. Those that stocked up are in better shape, but if you like to shoot ..................you will go thru components.
