After some time searching the web for spikes, I figured I had to make my own after getting nowhere or ridiculously overpriced pieces of metal. Figured I'd share the info.
My Harris bipod had the same inside diameter as arrow head inserts. I just bought a pack for a few bucks and my favorite arrow head, took off the rubber feet, pounded out the pin, drilled a hole through the arrow insert, put the pin back in and screwed on the arrow head. Looks bad *** too

That's a fantastic idea! Like others, I might go for field points, but any screw-in broadhead would be usable. I'm sure the replaceable blade style ferrule could be carried. Two would weigh next to nothing and give an extra inch or so of height when needed.
