Best scope for Benelli Argo

Does anyone know which is the best scope size for Benelli Argo 30-06 ? 3-12x56 fit on it?

An objective lense that large is going to make the scope center to bore center alignment wider than I'd want it. But I've seen that rifle equipped with a picatinny rail mount so any scope with a good set of rings should work just fine.
