What methods have you guys found is best for shooting off of boulders? I mean I will be sheep hunting in a place with lots of boulders the size of volkswagons.

I imagine it would be tought to shoot prone, but possible. I could probably stand and have a small bipod on a rock, with something to steady the butt on the other end.

Thanks
Bill

Practice a bit off of you backpack or fanny pack. You most probably won't want any more carry weight than absolutely necessary.

If practicable the backpack on the front and the nontrigger hand as a fist under the butt.

And! Like that sheep is gonna make it easy for you.;) As my dad once said to me,"Just shoot the **** thing".;)

Yes, thanks. It will probably come down to taking a fast shot. It is nice to have practiced and it will make me much more confident. I am finished practicing on the bench.

I'll practice some prone shots and with my pack.
Thanks
Bill
