Best hunting bow under $1k

I'm looking at getting a new bow this year, but I haven't bought a new one in about 5 years. Any favorites out there in the sub 1k range. My current bow is a Hoyt. But I'm open to any brand. I'm planning on going to the shop and shooting a bunch of different models. Mainly wondering about if you've had problems with any certain models? Thanks for any help.

I would go shoot them all and shoot what fits you and feels the best. I would look at the bow tech revoltx, Mathews traverse if you can find one, elite ritual 33" is what I have like it.

I like the Bow Tech and Mathews. Like to keep my brace height at a minimum of 7 inches. Personally prefer a lighter bow as I seem to carry it a lot more than I shoot it. One thing you might consider is looking at a bow that is a year or two old. Seems like you can save a considerable amount of coin. Plus sometimes you get some pretty nice accessories with the bow. Mathews vxr 31.5 , also lots of nice older bows that are like brand new for a lot cheaper .
