I've always had excellent luck with USPS. Been hearing stuff on some folks' firearm policies.... what CURRENT carrier is doing best right now?

But they do, all the time. I have always pre-printed postage and used the USPS priority mail service. It SUCKS since COVID started. I've shipped/received at least a dozen guns since march and 1/2 have been really late, lost in the system, stranded for days with no idea where they are. And I had my first failure EVER with the USPS - sold some bullets here (just the projectiles, not ammo) and the buyer received a full length women's leopard print catsuit. With MY LABEL on it - someone at the post office must have switched box contents. Craziest thing ever - I thought he was joking with me when he called. His wife was ****ed, lol. I promptly refunded his $$ and the post office paid my insurance claim within a week which was a first.UPSP Priority, fully insured, signature confirmation. Remember they CANNOT ask you if it is a firearm.

As an FFL I ship handguns by USPS and long guns by UPS and have not had problems with either. I think it's required to inform USPS if it's a firearm and FedEx and UPS have that policy, you can debate that but we all know that the govt will win that argument. If you choose not to tell them the you could be breaking the law and I guarantee UPS and FedEx will not honor insurance claims if you didn't tell them what you were shipping. I know people still do it anyway but know your risks.
That is correctWhen shipping handguns USPS you also need to be submitting PS Form 1508, I believe every time.
