Best bullet for long range shooting

Hello, could you recommend me a bullet better than the SMK HPBT 175 gr to shoot targets further than 1000 yards? I am using it right now, but I want to try if there is something better, with better aerodynamics. I am looking for something than can keep supersonic more distance.

My rifle is a Remington 700 milspec 5R in 308W

I'm thinking a Berger 185gr VLD or 210 VLD. But being a 308 Win I think the 185gr be best, the 210gr might be too heavy but nor sure. There is also the 208gr Long Range Hybrid.

My old friend Praire dog is concerned because I shoot longer than him with my 6.5. But don't worry, now he is decided to follow the American Style. Low weight, high speed

In my 5r Milspec I tried most of them, the 195tmk is the bullet ur looking for. .3g7 and will shoot to subsonic, I've shot it to 1550.
It'll also stabilize in the 11.25 twist at 2500asl no problem

Thanks so much for your answers guys. I'm going to try the 195tmk first because Canhunter35 has the same rifle. If it doesn't go well, I'll try the rest of them.

Back in the day when 308's were popular in long range matches, here's what shot the best scores.

Bullet diameter had to be at least .0002" bigger than barrel groove diameter.

These loads were popular in 24" long barrels up to 1000 yards:

* 180 grain bullets: 43 gr. IMR4064.

* 190 grain bullets: 42 gr. IMR4064 or 44 gr. IMR4320

* 200 grain bullets: 48 gr. IMR4350.

These loads may be subsonic past 1100 yards and accuracy will decrease.
