After watching the video clip on the berger site it has me wondering about useing these bullets in my current guns. The guns I have at this time are a .243 and a .30-06.Have any of you guys used these calibers with bergers? If so what kind of loads did you use and what can I expect in these calibers?I am not looking for extreme range but ranges in the 200-500 yard range. The video on the Berger site was very impressive in how the animals dropped.

I would also interested to know if anyone has used these in a 7mm-08.I an looking for a light weight, low recoil gun for my son.I know my .243 would be a great gun but it is 11 lbs,a little heavy for a 12 year old to pack around.

Thanks guys,

SDW

Hagar,

We have killed 5 deer with Berger bullets in the last two years.
one at 360 yards with 257 roberts 115 gr., about 380 yards with 210 gr. in 300 RUM, 275 yards with 257 roberts 115 gr., 430 yards with 25-06 and 115 gr., 482 yards with 210 gr. 300 RUM. They were all very lethal!
Last year I killed an Antelope at 200 yards with the 210 gr. Berger in the 300 RUM... No complaints.:)

I load 95gr vld in my sons 243 with h4831sc. It shoots very accurate and deadly on deer & yotes. I dont think you'll have a problem out to 500 yards
