Berger VLD Target Grades for hunting??

got a question on the berger vld target grade bullets? i have a bunch of them and was just wondering if anyone out there has used them for hunting? i know they say on the box not to use them but i have killed a lot of game with the SMKs and was just trying to save some $ if they will do the job. If anyone has any input i would greatly appreciate it.

I had the same question so I loaded up both for a cow elk hunt last December. I shot my cow at 560 yards. The first shot was with the hunting VLD, it hit her a little low in the chest. She didn't go right down so I dropped in a target version and hit her about 4 inches above the first shot and she dropped. Both bullets exited. Entrance holes, exit wounds, and internal damage looked the same for both bullets.

these bullets work great on game and i would not hesitate to use the target bullets. JMO
