Just found this info on 6mmbr.com. Apparently they are releasing their 338 Hybrid bullet, but you have to call Sinclair. They are using them as a call center and distributor. You can purchase in 50ct. and 250ct. They have some great info on the page posted. Check out the PDF file on the bullets.

Has anyone tried these yet? I'm getting ready to build a 338 Edge but I am hesitant to have the throat cut longer to get optimal performance with these bullets and then have to have the barrel set back if I'm not happy with the results... How much longer should the throat be cut for optimal performance?

According to the tech data, you don't need a long throat. They are specifically designed to be set deep so that they function with jump.

Will I still be able to get my 94.0 gr of H1000 in there with the deeper seating depth? (Haven't loaded for 338 edge before so not sure if case capacity is ever an issue.)

That I can't answer. I would say call Berger and ask them. They are new to the industry (300grn, 338's that is). I know that my cousin can sink his 300SMK's with no issue and good accuracy.

I just ordered a 50 cnt box of the 300 grainers, not bad priced 41.00 inc shipping and a small donation to the NRA, now we will see how they shoot :)

If they shoot good out of my 338-378 thats what they will be :) they show about a 400 ft-lb increase from the smk's at 1000 meters on my ballistic calculator & less than 1 moa flatter, let us know how they shoot out of whatever caliber your shooting I am sure there are abunch waiting to hear field reports
