Benelli Semi Auto

My name is Kevin Cooper and I am new to Long Range Hunting and recently I was given a gift of a Benelli 300 WSM semi auto. The gun shoots like a 30/30 hardly any recoil and it shoots good but not at the range I would like I was interested in asking if a longer barrel is available for this gun and if so how much? is this something I can do my self or do I need the services of a gun smith.
