I don't have one for sale but will say I have seen two guys pattern the SBE 3 and they were both 8-12" high.

A ton of benelli have issues shooting high.. my franchi did till I put shims in stock.. I was told it has something to do with reamer.. I promise benelli will do you right I promise buy the 3

Yeah I was dead set on a 3 until I started reading about it and I know the 2s are work horses so I figured I would try here first

I've had a SBE 3 for over a year now. I've probably put 2000 rounds through it so far. Mostly 2 3/4" shells but I have shot a variety of 3" and 3 1/2" shells. I only had it jam one time and that was my fault for not keeping it clean. Benelli designs them to shoot high. I kind of like it shooting high but it did take a little while to get use to. I'm very pleased with with the gun and would buy it again. It feels great and recoil is very manageable for such a light gun.

Yeah? I've just been reading a lot about them firing high and to the left. You prefer the high pattern rather than it shooting flat?

High shooting is great on American Trap but not usually so great for hunting. Prefer flat (50/50) or a 60/40 shotgun for hunting. I want to smother the bird with the barrel then pull my lead. If it shoots 12" high, that's going to be a miss or a wounded animal. I hope you can find a SBE2. I think one was posted up in the classifieds just recently?
Looks like Rhunter2 has one for $1000 to sell!

22-250Ryan,

I do like it shooting high. The advantage is the barrel is less likely to obstruct the view when pulling up on a bird or clay. It did take a little while to get use to though.

I saw that looking for a 28" though, the sbe3 I can purchase is $1000 and local to me so seems to be a good deal

From what I'm reading though it's not just high. It's shooting high and to the left. Did you have any issues with that?
