I've head benchmark barrels can be cut to any length? Is that what you understand Ryan?

no. they have a collar on the end of them that will be the shoulder for the muzzle threads. there is a stub extending past the collar that measures .638 or so. turn it down a hair for 5/8x24 threads and your good to go.

Hell's Canyon Armory wraps benchmark blanks themselves and is the company you're thinking of that can be cut to length. Pretty sure on this.

Shorten carbon fiber barrel

anyone shorten a Christinson C.F. Barrel? Have a 24" want to cut back to 20" . Plan on making 1\2-28 to 5/8-24 cap. Any input would be appreciated before I start. Thanks

I guess Ive seen a couple guys do that before. I won't do it as i have the barrel lengths I need for builds on the shelf. I cant go less than 22" at the moment in my lathe. Ill build a setup soon that will allow a little shorter. But the demand for shorter than 22" has been almost non existent so its not on the priority list lol.
