I want to put a medalist stock on my pre 64 winchester model 70. All of the medalist stocks are offered for post 64 rifles only, was woundering how much fitting would be involved to make it fit or if its even possible.

I want to put a medalist stock on my pre 64 winchester model 70. All of the medalist stocks are offered for post 64 rifles only, was woundering how much fitting would be involved to make it fit or if its even possible.

If it is a long action rifle, I think they only changed by .002". If it is a short action, there were two different changes making up to a half inch of difference.
