Plenty for the threads but not much for a shoulder, which may not be an issue depending what's getting screwed on. I have a self timer and don't need a shoulder.

I use a 9/16 thread and you just buy an adapter for the 5/8… works perfect

There are also quite a few smiths who are adding "collars" so that you can go with 5/8-24 threads and have a shoulder. Like this one. That is a Tikka T3X factory barrel.
