So I have a Proof Research CF in prefit for 300 PRC and Defiance Ruckus action. I also have a Bergara B-14 in 300 WM that I am considering using as a donor for the 300 PRC. I also have a custom with a Stiller TAC 300 action now fitted for 28 Nosler. Anticipating the day that the 28N barrel will need to be replaced.
First question is will that barrel headspace properly on the Bergara action? What about the Stiller TAC 300 action? I understand that it will fit most variations of the Defiance line of actions, not specifically only the Ruckus.
If not a direct fit for either of the actions I now have, can the barrel be recut to fit the Bergara or the Stiller action? Of course this work would be done by a qualified gun smith.
