Barnes brass for 300 Win Mag reloads?

Been shooting a few different rounds in my Fierce Carbon 300 Win Mag and it seems the Barnes 180 gr TTSX are the least expensive and also the tightest groups.
Was thinking of reloading some and seeing if I can improve on the factory performance.
I have a bunch of the Barnes brass that I could reload at this time and Im wondering who makes the brass for Barnes and how good is it? Has anybody reloaded Barnes brass and if so what are your thoughts and results? Am I better off getting another brass to load with after season ends and all the shortages abate?

Are you saying that the brass isnt good? Do you have any experience with reloading it ?

I have had good luck always with Remington brass and barnes brass if you want to try something different I have several rds of Hornady and the original Winchester brass in bags (ww super)

The original loads shot well and Im thinking I can prob load more precisely and closer to lands
Its accurate with factory and I dont expect to shoot it a ton so not sure about reloading it but probably will this winter
I have some Hornady Nosler and Berger brass too but figured Id use Barnes projectiles in Barnes brass Thanks for the offer!

As per the reply I got from Barnes, the 308 brass is manufactured by Reutag(sp?) and supposed the be compatible with Lapua. Just stating what was told to me by customer service at Barnes. Yes, they are owned by Remington, so...

In response to you reloading with Barnes bullets, getting closer to the lands will probably hurt your accuracy not help it. Mono bullets like to have some jump before coming into contact with the lands because the bullet is harder. Thats not to say you wont be able to get better accuracy with reloads because you should be able to finding the right load.

First time Ive heard something like this about copper projectiles. Is this common undisputable knowledge that I just never acquired? How close is too close to the lands? Is there a sweet spot where theres less jump but still a little jump? Or do you just load to SAMMI specs on all mono reloads?

Typically just load to SAMMI. I used to do customer service at Barnes and have seen it hundreds of times where people try and load close to lands and have poor accuracy. Backing off can shrink groups quickly

Barnes brass is fine, however... the batch I have in .300 Winchester Magnum has a somewhat greater capacity than the batch of Winchester brass I have been using. With a 200 grain Sierra GK, I must use 1.5 grains more powder (H4831) with the Barnes brass to get the same velocity and accuracy as when using the Winchester cases.

The Barnes brass weighs almost ten percent less than the Winchester brass. Again this is based on only one batch of brass for each brand.

If you worked for Barnes you must know who makes their brass and how consistent it is. Can you elaborate?
