Does anyone have a good recipe using H4831SC for the Barnes 160 GR TSX bullet in a 7 MM Weatherby Magnum?
My rifle is custom built with a Bartlein 1 in 9 twist barrel. I can get 1" groups with the Barnes 145 GR LRX bullets but a few old timers at the range said they are willing to bet my rifle will prefer the heavier 160 GR TSX bullets. I put the info in the Berger ballistic calculator and for sure the 160 grain bullets are showing as more stable (1.70 score) in my rifle. (The 145 GR LRX has a stability score of 1.52.)
I can also get quite a bit closer to the rifling with the TSX versus the LRX although with the WBY I'm still about 1/4" off the lands at max magazine length.
Please offer your two cents.
