Magnacut is GREAT knife steel. (yes, I am a knife nerd/addict)

Hardness is on par with S125, slightly lower than S90V and S110V, but above S30V and S35VN/S45VN, so not bad, but not easy to re-sharpen. It resists bending very well.
Toughness is well beyond S35VN, so it is a great choice for a hard used knife. Very resistant to chipping or breaking. Hardness and toughness usually don't go together. Magnacut has bridged this gap well.
Edge retention is in the realm of S35VN, S30V, S45V area, which is a great compromise for keeping an edge like S90V, and resharpening like S30V to scapel sharp.
Corrosion resistance is way up there, better than S110VN and M390 and just below Vanex, so if you have to skin an Alien, that acid won't hurt this steel.
Rockwell is in the 61-64 range.
