Ballistic FTE

For those new to dialing a doping like me. And are looking for an App. Go to your app store and pic this up. I have been wanting something easy to use and reliable to use, mind you 350 yards is not a long shot by any means, it was as far as I could get where I was. The bullet was a factory loaded federal 80g soft point. The rifle is a box stock vanguard .243 with an old red field range finder wide field. The scope only has a finger turret for elv. So I have to hold off for wind. I was shooting off a harris by-pod with my fist balled up under the butt.

The first shot struck 3 o'clock, I was holding center of the can and about 3/4s up from the base. I was able to see the hole so I held on the left edge of the can. The next shot hit the 1 o'clock area. Guessing by how much I missed by, the wind was about 5mph right to left..

I am sold on this app. If it gave my that kind of result from what I had, with a little practice and a scope I can dope with the next round will probly strike.

I also use FTE, I haven't got to play with it very much but, my first outting with Ballistic FTE produced 1st round hits at 550 then 725 with my 6-284 & 107smk. Good enough for me!

I am hoping to try it @ 1000 this weekend (I have 4 days off). As long as I can drag myself out to the ranch, i'll let you know how it went.

i use it and it is spot on. it has most bullets listed with g1 bc however you can toggle any ballistic curve you wish. it does Coriolis it also does spin drift based off bullet profile/spin rate/caliber

I have been using it very successfully for well over a year and have several rifles loaded into the app including rimfires, slug guns, and all my long range rigs. It's very fast and easy to use, even when using the advanced capabilities. I have tried three other apps and much prefer this one.
