I have been using the Shooter App and like it's format. But when I did some "real" drops at, say, 500 yards, it would not let me update/recalculate the velocity and thereby the drops. It keeps telling me the app has stopped, but when I try to restart, nada.
So my question is what app (s) are you using? Why do you like it? What I loved about Shooter is it's simplistic way of adding new rifle/ammo. Easy to follow and understand, and if you want to get really nerdy, it has that too. I'm looking for one like Shooter that will easily add the guns, ammo and that you can easily navigate and make changes. Shooter did almost that, til I tried to enter correct drops to recalculate vel./drops. at other distances.

I have strelok and strelok Pro. I upgraded to the strelok pro (aprox $12.00) because it has bullet and factory ammo database information. I love the simplicity of using it for all of the things you mentioned above. I actually keep the regular, free version of strelok on my phone just so that I can run data for friends, or do comparisons of different scenarios that I dream up, all while sitting in the easy chair. This allows me to keep the pro version for just the real deal stuff that I really want to keep. I have tried others, and I keep going back to it. I have yet to have an instance when the app let me down.

Applied Ballistics most like the Shooter App. It is almost the same. You will pick it up quickly. Think I like about AB is you can get custom solutions for bullets. They are lot like the Litz bullets in Shooter, but you have to pay for each. Think it is like 75 cents each or so. Only think I don't like about AB is it always check to see if bluetooth is enabled and you cannot bypass it. It's because AB can pull from a bluetooth enabled Kestrel, if you use one.

You can change the velocity in Shooter. You just have to go back and edit the bullet to do it. Then if you have Shooter set up to keep the last environment entries, all of the stuff will still be there when you get back from editing the bullet.

I am happy to help you get started with Strelok. If you want to.give it a try. I'm no techno guru, and I found it very easy to.get used to.

I have and use Ballistic AE (Advanced Edition).
It cost me $29.95 AUD for the AE version.
I am very happy with it, I can punch in my numbers, angles etc and the solution in MoA is there right now.
The bullet list is huge and it does not cost any additional for updates or switching between iOS devices.
I have my buddies try it and they all buy it right off.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Strelok pro has done well by me for sure, but seeing a couple on this thread I'm gonna check those out as well

I have been using BallisticsARC lately and really like it's format. It's been very easy to use and I can store a lot of gun/ammo combos. In my experience it has been very accurate and connects to the Bluetooth in my wind meter for all my environmental data.
