Opening morning of general deer season in Washington State Cassandra was able take this buck with an arrow in its face. The morning started out with seeing a couple nice 2 points that we couldn't shoot we hunted in this area about an hour when we decided to move spots on the ranch. We were hunting on her grandpa's ranch so we had a good idea of where we wanted to move to. While in route to the western portion of the ranch I spotted this buck in the creek bottom and told Cassandra to get herself ready because it was a legal buck "they have to be 3points or better in our area" . Cassandra was putting her bipod legs down and adjusting he scope when the buck disappeared into the thick brush,in years passed Cassandra would have started melt down thinking the buck had walked out of her life for ever. Not anymore she stayed down on her 6.5 creedmoorand when the buck climbed the steep hill out of the creek she was read. The pause sideways for a moment and looked back at this moment Cassandra sent the 147 ELD-M right in t sweet spot and the deer didn't take another step.
Cassandra stood up and asked if I'd seen the arrow sticking out of the deers face, I looked at her like she was full of S!¥T any how when we got to her buck sure enough it had an arrow in its face. Cassandra said when she firs saw it in her scope the whole arrow was there and it had Blue & White fletching. We spent a little time looking for the broken part because we wanted it for the Europe mount. Congratulations Cassandra I always love hunting with you!

That's nuts. I kept seeing a big doe on camera on one of our leases that had a spot on her right hip. In one picture she was licking it. Was killed couple of weeks later and it was and aluminum shaft, 2216 to be exact. No fletch, and no broadhead. Went into her hip and out the lower leg. Oh, and no one owned up to it in our gang. Could have gone across the road to other property.
