The EPL and EP are very good in low light and mirage situations. We have the SH and EP scopes. For hunting my SH works fine in any legal hunting light morning or night. The EP does show less mirage in very bright and high heat situations. The SH is better than average but for a little more money I will stick with the EP and EPL going forward.
