I was able to connect on this guy last week.
I'd been practicing out to 75yds since he never came closer than 40 to my setup for the last 6 weeks. He survived rifle season then disappeared. I was at my set on Tuesday when a doe pulled him right to my 20yrd pin.
Good hit, both lungs. He jumped, but then just walked off. Arrow had good blood, but very little on the ground. It was about dark and where he slipped into the buck brush was only 120yds from a property line so I sat. 40 min later I found him 5 steps into the brush where he played down.

Thanks guys. He is a fine example of a mature 3 point.
My wife agreed he would make a nice mount, so he made it to the taxidermist.
I will post a pick when we get him back.
