My son recently had a carbon fiber forearm put on his DPMS 24" SS AR-10 Bull Panther. The smith who installed the forearm put the sling swivel stud on the gas block.

With a bi-pod attached to the swivel under the gas block and shooting prone, how much effect do you think it will have on accuracy. I haven't shot it yet but my thoughts tell me it's going to play heck with the accuracy.

Any thoughts?

it will make the gun alot more sensitive to how he sets the bi-pod up if he shoots it "loaded" then "unloaded" it will probably very alot.

The carbon fiber tube are very strong and can easly handel a bipod , I'd relocate the stud to the tube
