going to be hunting elk, with a 338-378 W-mag

Have you considered the 300gr OTM? They kill elk like thors hammer.

Based on the thread that Steve provided you, I would HIGHLY recommend the 300 gr bullet over the 250 gr bullet out of a 338-378. More mass and lower velocity is your friend when it comes to frangible bullets.
