Anyone hunted WY Bison?

Well, I just found out I will probably be hunting bison in WY this year! I drew lucky #10, which is a pretty good indicater I'll have a tag. I am looking for any info from people who have hunted bison in WY. The WG&F website has no info, and I haven't been able to come up with much yet. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you after free range bison in Jackson? I work in the area in the fall and can get you some more info and contact numbers.

That is a great opportuity to have some fun and lots or work. Hiring a packer is well worth it. Once you see on the ground you have a newfoud respect for the native Americans. An outfitter I worked for killed a nice bull with a 450 two years ago it took two pills before going down. After the pics were done he was humbled by the dressing process. This is a man that packs elk out of the wilderness for a
living.

I had a buddy that shot one with a bow about 20 or so years ago and it s the most incredible thing I had ever seen.
Holly crap are they big. Looks like you just killed a vw bug and now need to roll it over to skin it.
Have a great time it should be an amazing experience. Watch out cuz they can be nasty.
