Just wondering what most of you use during firearms season, shotgun, muzzleloader or pistols.

I moved to SD almost a year ago, but I still hunt in SO IL. Family has a big farm in Jackson County (about 3500 acres). To say the least, we have killed some big bucks. I use a 12 ga Remington 870 with a cantilevered rifled barrel topped with a 2x7 Leupold. I custom painted it in brown digital camo. I shoot 3" Lightfield slugs, 5 shots in 3" at 100 yds. The wife shoots a H&R 20 ga single shot topped with the same scope as me. She also shoots Lightfield slugs. No deer we have shot has made it more than 20 yds, most drop in their tracks. The only thing I am looking at changing is the trigger on mine. Her gun is excellent right out of the box.

franklin co checking in. i mostly use a hoyt but i do love to to pistol hunt. i used my freedom arms 454 this year.

I live in Williamson County now, but own a small farm in White County. I bowhunt deer & turkeys in several counties south of I-64, plus shoot a few 'yotes all over.
