Spot on this location is at the far end of my acreage and 10 feet from the nature preserve of several thousand acres, rather not set up that close to a restricted hunting area.We place our snares because we can't always be there to shoot them as our preferred method of control.
As long as you are rendering them to the afterlife. All's good.Once again the two snares set all year continuously pay off, i'd rather shoot them but that's life.
he has been eating a lot and braking bones.Man, his teeth are white
snare noose is small and closer to the ground up here we do get boos in our wolf snares and if alive, we let them go and even a moose will leg snare itself. in a wolf snareYou guys got any pics of your setups?
How do you avoid catching deer?
Deer stops on the snare, or lay a stick across the trail to funnel the deer away from the loop, anyone who has snared for some time will eventually catch some non target specie, deer stops help somewhat. A coyote snare IDEALLY is 12 inches in diameter and 12 inches bottom loop from the ground, exactly where browsing deer carry their heads. The stops however do little to eliminate neck catches. You guys got any pics of your setups?
