Another Rifle Choice

After a life changing event this fall, I decided to buy another rifle and scope to do load development on a caliber I don't have, to occupy my mind and time.
So I purchased a Leupold VX6-HD 4x24x52 firedot.I'm looking at a 7PRC in a Seekins Havic Pro hunter 2 or
Proof Research Elevation 2 rifle.
I would appreciate your input with your experience with either. I'm not set in cement with either. They both seem to have alot of positive feedback so I'm starting there. Thank you,

What game are you hunting, at what range are you shooting, and budget? Seekins definitely a quality rifle. Wish they offered more than the koolaide cartridges. (No slight). Proof Elevation also great rifle.

I think you really can't go wrong with either of those choices. Also, the caliber is a preference thing depending on what you want to do with it. The 7 prc should cover quite a bit. Scope is also a solid choice. Check out the Nosler model 21. I have really been impressed with mine as a well balanced, perfectly put together rifle. Caliber choices are not too expansive unless you like the nosler calibers. I have one in 300 win mag and love it.

My last two purchases were a Weatherby 307 and a Sako S20. Other than a slight inlet issue with the W., I've been impressed with both as far as ergonomics, action and accuracy.

I have a Seekins PH2 in 6 Creedmoor and a couple of Proof Tundra rifles. I have not tried the Elevation.

I took a look at the variances in specs that may come into consideration:

• Proof is 22" barrel vs Seekins 26"
• Proof is carbon fiber vs Seekins steel
• Seekins is a fuzz heavier... not consequentially though
• Stocks are different

Both my Proof rifles and the Seekins rifles shoot great. Coincidentally, I've had issues that required warranty work from both companies, and both responded excellently, so no concern there from my perspective.

Between those two rifles I don't think you can go wrong. I think it comes down to barrel length, barrel material, and stock preferences. If you planned to hunt/ shoot suppressed, it may be worth giving up some velocity for the shorter Proof barrel. If not, I'd probably lean towards the Seekins.
